About the Festival
Since 2024, Inkundla Spaces has been building a home for creatives in Sierra Leone. A place where artists can share freely, whether that’s at an open mic, a workshop, or through the pages of our literary journal. The festival is where it all comes together.
This year’s edition runs three days. Artists are coming from Kenema and Lunsar to perform in Freetown, some of them for the first time. You’ll hear music, poetry, spoken word, and drama from voices you won’t find on any playlist yet.
Most events are pay-what-you-can. Just come through. Soundz of Salone and the Festival Afterparty carry a minimum donation of 50 Leones.
Programme
Three days, two venues, one thread running through all of it: space to create and be heard.
Day 1: Thursday 29 October
6 PM · Freetown Innovation Lab, Fourah Bay College
Wi Kreative Playgron
The festival opens the way Inkundla always does: with the mic open. Performers from Kenema join Inkundla regulars for a night of music, poetry, and spoken word.

Minimum donation: 50 Leones

Fifteen spoken word artists go head to head. No phone, no paper. Just you and the mic. Entry is open, and the audience decides who wins.

Closing Event
We close the way we started. Together. Highlights from the festival and a final performance to send everyone home.
